The Antwerp Centre for Minorities is the integration centre of the city of Antwerp. The Centre is an expert and innovator in dealing with ethnic-cultural diversity in a positive way.
The main touchstone for the way we operate are the needs, requirements and experiences of ethnic-cultural minorities. The Antwerp Centre for Minorities is committed to a society that harnesses diversity as an added value, where discrimination is not tolerated, where equal participation of ethnic-cultural minorities is ensured and fundamental social rights are guaranteed. We work to accomplish these aims in partnership with ethnic-cultural minorities, with organisations and with the authorities.
The Antwerp Centre for Minorities acts to improve interculturalisation by setting up, organising or supporting projects, interculturalisation projects and services with a view to accomplish structural change in organisations, services and society at large.
To a large degree, our expertise is built on the basis of:

- a comprehensive network
โThe Antwerp Centre for Minorities has over 25 years of experience tackling the problem of unemployment within different minority groups. Over the last 10 years our target group has diversified, as new migrants have settled in Antwerp. We work with ethnic-cultural minorities from very different backgrounds.

ASILO:
2,5 anni - 6 anni

SCUOLA ELEMENTARE:
Si puรฒ accedere solo se il bambino frequenta per un determinato periodo di giorni un asilo di lingua fiamminga o se supera un esame obbligatorio di lingua fiamminga.
6 - 12 anni
Un bambino puรฒ frequentare la scuola elementare per un massimo di 8 anni. Alla fine del percorso elementare la scuola decide se il bambino puรฒ passare con successo al grado successivo o meno.
SCUOLA SECONDARIA:
12 - 18 anni
E' organizzata in tre livelli di 2 anni ciascuno
PRIMO LIVELLO - due indirizzi: 1A per chi ha passato con successo l'esame alle scuole elementari e 1B frequentatato da chi non ha passato l'esame alle elementari o da chi ha sforato il tetto degli 8 anni di frequenza. Il livello 1B riassume quanto fatto negli ultimi due anni di scuola elementare.
Se si superano i due anni di 1A si puรฒ proseguire nel secondo livello; se si supera 1B si puรฒ frequentare 1A o proseguire nel bienno pre professionale 2B.

2A: indirizzo generale - indirizzo tecnico - indirizzo artistico
2B: scuola pre-professionale
TERZO LIVELLO:
3A: indirizzo generale - indirizzo tecnico - indirizzo artistico
3B: scuola professionale o scuola part-time (alternanza scuola/lavoro)
SOLO IL PERCORSO "A" PREPARA AD ACCEDERE A STUDI UNIVERSITARI
SCUOLA "SPECIALE"
Esiste, per la scuola primaria e secondaria, un percorso speciale per ragazzi con bisogni particolari: handicap fisici, mentali e disturbi comportamentali.
